Job Overview
We are seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented Medical Office Administrator to join our healthcare team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for managing front desk operations, coordinating patient appointments, and ensuring smooth administrative workflows within a busy medical or dental practice. This role requires excellent communication skills, proficiency with electronic medical records, and familiarity with office management systems. The Medical Office Administrator plays a vital role in delivering exceptional patient service and supporting clinical staff to provide quality care.

Responsibilities

Greet patients and visitors professionally, providing a welcoming environment at the front desk
Manage multi-line phone systems to schedule appointments, answer inquiries, and relay messages efficiently
Maintain and update electronic medical records (EMR) using systems such as Epic and Dentrix
Verify patient insurance information and process billing or payments as needed
Assist with administrative tasks including data entry, filing, and managing correspondence
Coordinate appointment scheduling for multiple providers while optimizing clinic flow
Ensure compliance with healthcare privacy regulations and office policies
Support clinical staff by preparing patient charts and handling documentation requirements
Handle administrative duties related to patient check-in/check-out processes and follow-up communications

Requirements

Proven experience as a Dental Receptionist or Medical Office Administrator in a healthcare setting
Familiarity with Electronic Medical Records (EMR) systems such as Epic and Dentrix
Strong knowledge of medical terminology and dental terminology preferred
Prior experience working in a fast-paced office environment with multi-line phone systems
Excellent organizational skills with attention to detail and accuracy
Ability to communicate effectively with patients, staff, and providers
Office experience including front desk operations, administrative support, and appointment scheduling
Knowledge of healthcare privacy regulations (e.g., HIPAA) is preferred
Previous experience in dental or medical office settings is highly desirable

Pay: $28.00-$32.00 per hour
