Full job description

Shield Foundation Repair is an industry leader in foundation repair, COR certified and is looking
to hire an experienced, energetic framer/carpenter for projects in Edmonton and surrounding
areas. The company is currently located in Edmonton, Alberta, and expanding. You can expect a
professional atmosphere with an opportunity for advancement into other aspects of the
business.

Note: This position is classified as permanent full time, however, can be structured as seasonal

for the right person.

JOB CLASSIFICATION AND WAGE RANGE

Job Type: Permanent/Seasonal
Salary: Earning potential between $25.00 – $45.00/hr. with PERFORMANCE BONUS – depending
on experience.

GENERAL REQUIREMENTS:

Must understand building principles and distribution of structural loads.
Must be able to read blueprints and do material take offs.
Physically apt to perform job duties.
Ability to work as a team and communicate with coworkers.
Willingness to learn general construction and COR practices.
Concrete construction experience is an asset (forming, rebar detail, finishing).

A VEHICLE IS PROVIDED FOR YOUR DAILY RESPONSIBILITIES:

Year-round or seasonal work – to be discussed.
A driver’s license is required.***

Load, unload, and transport construction materials.
Use various site construction tools.
Structural framing experience an asset.
Concrete repair and waterproofing experience an asset.
Identify hazards on site and contribute to a safe work environment.
Understand building principles.
Experience building concrete forms for foundations an asset.
Attention to detail required.

REQUIREMENTS

Shield Foundation Repair will train and provide the ability for candidates to obtain the following
certifications:

CSTS
WHMIS
FIRST AID
