Full job description

Position: Marketing Coordinator

Organization: Latincouver Cultural & Business Society
Location: Vancouver, BC (In-person)
Employment Type: Seasonal (Canada Summer Jobs)
Hours: 35 hours per week
Duration: Approximately 8 weeks (280 hours total)
Start Date: May 18, 2026
Wage: $17.85/hour (increasing to $18.25/hour as of June 1, 2026)
Language: English
Reports to: Marketing Manager

About Latincouver

Latincouver Cultural & Business Society is a non-profit organization based in British Columbia that promotes cultural exchange, business connections, and community development within Canada’s multicultural landscape.

Position Overview

The Marketing Coordinator Intern will gain hands-on experience supporting marketing activities, campaign coordination, and content development within a community-focused nonprofit organization. This role involves assisting with digital marketing initiatives, social media management, event promotion, and internal coordination with team members and partners. Designed as a learning opportunity, the position includes supervision, guidance, and skill development in marketing and communications.

Key Responsibilities

Assisting in the development of marketing campaigns.
Coordinating with internal teams and external vendors for promotional activities.
Developing content for various marketing channels, including social media, email, and traditional media.
Ensuring consistent branding across all communication platforms.
Planning and supporting events and promotional campaigns.
Maintaining timelines and marketing calendars.
Managing website updates, overseeing social and media accounts and engaging with audiences online.

Ability to adjust to changing priorities, meet deadlines, and incorporate feedback to improve performance
Works effectively with others to achieve shared goals and contribute to a positive team environment
Communicates clearly and professionally, both verbally and in writing, while actively listening to others
Demonstrates initiative by generating and applying new ideas to improve processes and outcomes
Proficient in using digital tools and systems to create, manage, and share information
Comfortable working with numbers, including budgeting, tracking, and basic data analysis
Identifies issues, evaluates options, and implements effective solutions
Applies relevant tools, systems, and technical knowledge to complete tasks accurately and efficiently
Effectively manages tasks, priorities, and deadlines in a fast-paced environment
Communicates clearly and professionally, both verbally and in writing
Takes initiative, works independently, and anticipates needs without close supervision
Ensures accuracy and consistency in all tasks, with a strong focus on quality

Assets (Nice to Have):

Enrolled in or recently completed a diploma or degree in Marketing, Communications, Media,
Business Administration, or a related field
Interest in digital marketing, content creation, and brand development
Knowledge: Slack, ClickUp, Canva

Special Requirements:

This position is funded by the Government of Canada through the Canada Summer Jobs program. To be eligible, applicants must:

Be aged between 15 and 30 years old on the start date of the job
Have a valid Social Insurance Number (SIN), and
Be a Canadian citizen, a permanent resident of Canada, or a person who has been granted refugee status in Canada
International students and other temporary residents of Canada are not eligible to apply.
