Full job description

Job Summary
We are an established franchisor of a successful auto repair franchise system seeking a highly experienced Bookkeeper to take ownership of our day-to-day accounting operations.

In this vital role, you will manage the day-to-day financial record-keeping processes, ensuring accuracy and compliance with accounting standards. Your expertise will support the organization’s financial health by maintaining precise records, reconciling accounts, and preparing essential financial reports. This position offers an exciting opportunity to contribute to a mission-driven organization that values integrity, accuracy, and efficiency.

Duties

Maintain accurate and up-to-date financial records using Sage Accounting Software
Perform bank reconciliations and general ledger account reconciliations to ensure data integrity
Process accounts payable and accounts receivable transactions efficiently and accurately
Process Month end
Prepare Year End Working Papers
Prepare journal entries and manage bookkeeping to reflect all financial activities
Conduct balance sheet reconciliation and account analysis to verify account balances
Tax Remitting
Generate detailed financial reports including income statements, cash flow statements, for management review
Ensure adherence to financial concepts, internal controls, and best practices in bookkeeping procedures

Qualifications

Proven experience as a Book Keeper or in a similar accounting role
Proficiency in Sage accounting software
Solid knowledge of bookkeeping, debits & credits, journal entries, and general ledger accounting
Experience with bank reconciliation, account reconciliation, accounts payable/receivable management, and payroll processing
Excellent attention to detail with high accuracy in data entry (10 key typing skills preferred)
Ability to communicate complex financial information clearly through financial report writing
Demonstrated ability to work independently while managing multiple tasks efficiently

Other duties also include Basic Administrative duties, Reception, Assist other departments when needed.
