Full job description

Our local client is seeking a Maintenance Technician/Equipment Operator to join their busy and well-established feedlot operation in Southern Alberta. This is an excellent opportunity to join a stable, reputable company within the feed industry that values hard work, collaboration, and long-term growth.

This hands-on role involves supporting the maintenance and operation of feedlot equipment and facilities while working alongside an experienced and collaborative team.

Duties and Responsibilities:

The key job functions are:

Assisting with general shop and feedlot maintenance
Performing basic mechanical tasks, including:
Oil changes
Greasing equipment
Changing tires
Identifying mechanical issues
Operating equipment such as:
Pay loader
Skid steer
Tractor
Identifying and reporting repairs or maintenance needs around the feedlot and facilities
Supporting general labour duties as required
Welding experience is considered an asset

Qualifications:

Ability to work fully onsite
Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation required
Comfortable working in outdoor environments and varying weather conditions
Comfortable working at heights when required
Willingness to work extended hours during busy periods

Experience:

Minimum 1 year of experience in a similar role required

Skills:

Strong communication and teamwork skills
Positive attitude and willingness to learn
Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment
Ability to work safely and effectively under pressure
Eagerness to learn and grow, supporting the team wherever needed

Base Salary: $27+ per hour

Compensation based on experience
Full benefits package provided after successful completion of the 3-month probationary period

Work Hours:

Monday to Friday
7:00am – 5:00pm
Some weekend work required

Additional Notes:

This opportunity does not include relocation. It will be the responsibility of the candidate should relocation be required.
