Job Overview
We are seeking a skilled and dedicated Red Seal Automotive Technician to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in automotive repair and maintenance, with experience working on various types of machinery and equipment. This role offers the opportunity to work in a dynamic environment, utilizing a wide range of mechanical, electrical, and industrial skills to ensure vehicles and equipment are operating safely and efficiently. Candidates with dealership experience and familiarity with heavy equipment are highly encouraged to apply. The position involves diagnosing issues, performing repairs, and ensuring customer satisfaction through quality service.

Responsibilities

Conduct diagnostic assessments using schematics and technical manuals to identify vehicle or equipment issues
Perform repairs and maintenance on automobiles, heavy machinery, farm equipment, HVAC systems, and industrial equipment
Operate power tools, hand tools, welding equipment, and heavy machinery such as excavators, cranes, forklifts, and other industrial equipment
Replace or repair mechanical components including engines, transmissions, brakes, electrical systems, and hydraulic systems
Use electrical experience to troubleshoot wiring issues and electronic systems within vehicles or machinery
Follow safety protocols during all repair procedures and operate heavy equipment safely when required
Maintain detailed service records and document repairs accurately
Assist in assembly or disassembly of parts for repair or replacement purposes
Provide excellent customer service by explaining repairs needed and ensuring customer satisfaction

Qualifications

Red Seal Automotive Service Technician Certificate
Proven mechanic experience with a strong understanding of automotive repair processes
Dealership experience preferred but not required
Hands-on experience with excavators, cranes, forklifts, farm machinery, HVAC systems, welding, electrical systems, and industrial equipment is a plus
Proficiency with schematics and technical manuals for troubleshooting complex issues
Ability to operate power tools, hand tools, welding equipment, and heavy machinery safely
Mechanical knowledge combined with the ability to perform heavy lifting and physical tasks regularly
Strong problem-solving skills with attention to detail
Excellent customer service skills to communicate effectively with clients about repairs and maintenance needs
Ability to work independently or as part of a team in a fast-paced environment
