- Develop and evaluate NECB compliance models and support ASHRAE-based energy analysis
- Conduct or support ASHRAE Level 1, 2, and 3 energy assessments
- Analyze energy conservation measures including HVAC systems, building envelope improvements, lighting systems, controls optimization, and operational strategies
- Review architectural, mechanical, electrical, and structural drawings to extract modelling inputs and verify assumptions
- Conduct site visits to collect building data and verify system configurations
- Perform parametric and sensitivity analysis to assess the effect of building systems and operating variables
- Prepare technical reports, modelling summaries, audit findings, and related client deliverables
- Review modelling outputs and identify inconsistencies requiring further investigation
- Develop and maintain Python-based or similar scripting workflows to support modelling automation, simulation setup, data processing, and results analysis
- Support development of internal tools, standardized workflows, and reporting methods to improve modelling efficiency and consistency
- Coordinate assigned modelling and audit tasks to meet project schedules and deliverables
- Participate in client discussions to clarify project requirements and present technical findings
Mentorship and Junior Staff Development
- Provide day-to-day guidance and technical mentorship to junior energy modellers on modelling tools,
workflows, and quality control practices
- Review and provide constructive feedback on work completed by junior staff, supporting their
professional development and growth
- Assist in onboarding new junior team members by sharing established workflows, modelling standards,
and best practices
