Job Overview
We are seeking a friendly and efficient Barista to join our team. The ideal candidate will be passionate about delivering exceptional customer service and creating a welcoming environment for all guests. This role involves preparing and serving a variety of beverages, managing food and drink orders, and maintaining cleanliness and safety standards in a fast-paced setting. Previous experience in the food industry or as a barista is preferred but not required. The position offers an opportunity to develop skills in food preparation, cash handling, and customer service while working in a vibrant coffee shop environment.

Responsibilities

Prepare and serve a variety of coffee, tea, and specialty beverages according to company standards.
Operate POS systems, including Micros POS, for order processing and cash handling.
Take customer orders accurately and efficiently, ensuring timely service.
Handle food preparation tasks such as assembling sandwiches or snacks when necessary.
Maintain cleanliness of the work area, equipment, and dining space to adhere to food safety standards.
Manage cash register operations with accuracy, including basic math calculations for transactions.
Provide excellent customer service by engaging with guests professionally and courteously.
Restock supplies as needed and assist with inventory management.
Follow all food safety guidelines related to food handling and sanitation protocols.

Skills

Previous Barista experience or background in the food industry is highly desirable.
Proficiency with POS systems, especially Micros POS, for efficient transaction processing.
Strong customer service skills with the ability to engage positively with guests.
Excellent time management skills to handle multiple orders during busy periods effectively.
Basic math skills for cash handling and transaction accuracy.
Knowledge of food safety standards related to food handling and sanitation practices.
Ability to work efficiently under pressure in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail.
