Job Summary
FELLAS PAINTING AND RENO is seeking an experienced painter to join our dedicated team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in residential, commercial, and industrial painting, with expertise in construction painting, restoration, and schematics. This role involves preparing surfaces, applying paint and coatings, and ensuring high-quality finishes on various projects. Candidates should possess excellent communication skills, time management abilities, and a commitment to safety and customer satisfaction. This position offers an opportunity to work on diverse projects in a professional environment committed to quality craftsmanship.

Responsibilities

Prepare surfaces for painting by cleaning, sanding, caulking, and priming as needed
Apply paint, stains, varnishes, and other coatings using hand tools and power tools
Read and interpret blueprints, schematics, and construction drawings to ensure accurate application
Perform restoration work on existing structures with attention to detail
Operate rigging equipment safely when working at heights or on scaffolding
Use carpentry skills for minor repairs or modifications prior to painting
Manage time effectively to meet project deadlines while maintaining quality standards
Maintain a clean and organized work area throughout each project
Communicate effectively with clients and team members to ensure project specifications are met

Requirements

Proven experience in construction painting, residential painting, commercial painting, or industrial painting
Proficiency with hand tools, power tools, caulking guns, and rigging equipment
Strong understanding of safety protocols related to scaffolding, working at heights, and handling hazardous materials
Excellent communication skills for client interaction and team collaboration
Good time management skills to prioritize tasks efficiently
Experience of use of hand tools is a plus
