Full job description

Otter Trail Winery is seeking an enthusiastic and hospitality-focused Server/Bartender to join our team. Nestled in the heart of Langley, our winery offers guests a unique farm-to-table dining experience paired with exceptional wines and warm, welcoming service.

We are looking for a team member who is passionate about hospitality, enjoys engaging with guests, and has a strong appreciation for food, wine, and creating memorable experiences.

Responsibilities

Provide professional, friendly, and attentive table service to guests.
Serve wine, beer, cocktails, and non-alcoholic beverages responsibly.
Demonstrate knowledge of winery offerings, wine styles, food menus, and specials.
Make recommendations and confidently answer guest questions regarding wine and food pairings.
Process guest orders accurately using the POS system.
Maintain cleanliness and organization of the dining room, patio, bar, and service areas.
Assist with winery events, weddings, and private functions as required.
Follow all food safety and liquor service regulations.
Work collaboratively with kitchen, bar, and event teams to ensure an exceptional guest experience.
Support weddings, corporate events, private functions, and winery events, including setup, service, bartending, and guest assistance as required.

Qualifications

Minimum 2 years of serving and/or bartending experience in a restaurant, winery, brewery, cocktail bar, or similar hospitality environment.
Previous winery or wine-focused restaurant experience is considered an asset.
General wine knowledge and an interest in learning more about wine production and service.
Valid Serving It Right certification.
Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail.
Positive attitude, professional appearance, and strong work ethic.
Availability to work weekends is required, as the role includes regular participation in weddings, special events, and private functions throughout the season.
Must be able to stand for extended periods and lift up to 25 lbs.
