Full job description

CNC Machine Operator

Our client is looking for a CNC Machine Operator to join their manufacturing team in a fast-paced production environment. This organization specializes in precision machining and supports a range of industries through high-quality component manufacturing. They are known for their focus on accuracy, efficiency, and continuous improvement on the shop floor.

In this role, you will support daily machining operations by running CNC equipment, assisting with setups, and ensuring parts are produced to exact specifications.

Responsibilities

Operate CNC mills, lathes, and related machining equipment to complete production tasks
Assist with machine setup and preparation for machining operations
Load and unload materials while maintaining cycle time targets
Monitor tooling conditions and support tool maintenance activities
Perform quality inspections using precision measuring tools
Complete and maintain required quality and production documentation
Conduct routine machine checks and preventative maintenance tasks
Support SPC data collection and apply corrective actions as needed

Qualifications

2+ years of CNC machining experience
Basic understanding of CNC programming for mills and lathes
Strong mathematical and analytical skills
Ability to interpret SPC data and production metrics
Experience using precision measuring tools (calipers, micrometers, indicators, height gauges)
Ability to read and interpret blueprints and engineering drawings
High school diploma or equivalent
Able to work rotating day and evening shifts
