Position Overview
We are seeking a motivated and results-driven Commercial Cleaning Equipment Sales Representative to join our growing team in Calgary. This role is ideal for a sales professional who enjoys building relationships, developing new business opportunities, conducting product demonstrations, and helping customers identify the right cleaning solutions for their operations.
The successful candidate will manage a designated territory, generate new business, grow existing accounts, and represent a trusted brand in the commercial cleaning and facility maintenance industry.
Key Responsibilities
- Identify and pursue new business opportunities through prospecting, cold calling, networking, referrals, and industry events.
- Build and maintain strong relationships with facility managers, property management companies, cleaning contractors, municipalities, healthcare facilities, schools, and industrial customers.
- Conduct on-site customer assessments and recommend appropriate cleaning equipment and maintenance solutions.
- Perform product demonstrations and communicate product features, benefits, and return on investment effectively.
- Develop customized proposals, quotations, and equipment recommendations based on customer needs.
- Manage the complete sales cycle from lead generation through closing and ongoing account management.
- Negotiate pricing, contracts, and service agreements.
- Maintain accurate customer records and sales activities using CRM software.
- Collaborate with service, operations, and administrative teams to ensure exceptional customer support.
- Stay informed about industry trends, competitor activities, and emerging cleaning technologies.
QualificationsRequired
- Minimum 3 years of outside sales, business development, or B2B sales experience.
- Proven ability to prospect, generate leads, and develop new business opportunities.
- Strong relationship-building and customer service skills.
- Excellent communication, presentation, and negotiation abilities.
- Self-motivated with the ability to work independently and manage a sales territory.
- Valid driver's license and willingness to travel throughout the assigned territory.
- Proficiency with CRM systems and Microsoft Office.
Preferred
- Experience selling commercial cleaning equipment, janitorial supplies, facility maintenance products, industrial equipment, or related solutions.
- Experience conducting product demonstrations and consultative sales presentations.
- Knowledge of Salesforce or similar CRM platforms.
- Technical aptitude and ability to explain equipment features and operational benefits.
- Spanish language skills are considered an asset.
