Role Description

This is a full-time, on-site legal Assitant position located in Surrey, BC.

As the first point of contact for clients, the successful candidate will play an integral role in fostering a welcoming, professional, and client-focused environment. This position is ideally suited for an individual who is highly organized, personable, and motivated to develop a long-term career within the legal profession.

Key Responsibilities

Prepare, edit, and format correspondence, legal documents, and court forms.
Schedule and coordinate client appointments, court dates, and meetings.
File and organize legal documents electronically and in hard copy.
Communicate professionally with clients, court staff, and other legal professionals.
Manage incoming and outgoing mail, emails, and telephone calls.
Assist with billing, client file management, and general office administration.
Perform other administrative duties as required to support lawyers and office operations.

Requirements

Proven clerical or administrative experience within a legal setting preferred
Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities efficiently
Excellent written and verbal communication skills with attention to detail in proofreading and legal drafting
Certificate or diploma in Legal Administration or equivalent education is an assets.
Strong knowledge of MS Office, Adobe, and legal software (e.g., PC Law, Clio, or similar).
Ability to work independently and handle multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment.
Professional demeanor and client service focus.
Knowledge of Punjabi/Hindi Language is an asset.

This position is integral to maintaining the efficiency of our legal practice by providing outstanding administrative support. We value candidates who demonstrate professionalism, organizational excellence, and a proactive approach to their responsibilities.

Pay: $21.00-$23.00 per hour
