Full job description

Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Speech Therapist to join our healthcare team. This role involves providing specialized speech and language therapy services to diverse patient populations, mostly children with developmental disabilities. This position offers an opportunity to make a meaningful difference in patients’ lives through expert communication support and therapy.

Responsibilities

Assess patients’ speech, language, voice, and swallowing disorders through comprehensive evaluations.
Develop and implement individualized treatment plans tailored to each patient's needs.
Provide direct therapy sessions to improve communication skills and swallowing functions.
Collaborate with interdisciplinary healthcare teams to coordinate patient care and ensure optimal outcomes.
Maintain accurate documentation of patient progress, treatment plans, and clinical notes in compliance with healthcare regulations.
Educate patients and their families about communication strategies and therapeutic exercises.
Monitor patient responses to therapy and adjust treatment plans as necessary.
Participate in case management activities, including discharge planning and follow-up care coordination.

Qualifications

Valid licensure or certification as a Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP) or equivalent credential. Only registered applicants are going to be considered for the role.
Prior experience working in hospital or acute care settings is highly desirable.
Prior experience working with children and adolescents is preferred
Excellent communication skills with the ability to work effectively within multidisciplinary teams.
Compassionate approach with a commitment to improving patient outcomes.
Ability to handle multiple cases efficiently while maintaining attention to detail. This role provides an excellent opportunity for a skilled Speech Therapist to contribute significantly within a dynamic healthcare environment dedicated to patient well-being and recovery.

Job Type: Part-time

Pay: $40.00-$70.00 per hour
