Full job description

Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic Baker's Assistant to join our bakery team. This role offers an exciting opportunity for individuals passionate about the food industry, baking, and customer service.

Prior experience in a restaurant or bakery setting is a plus, but we welcome motivated candidates eager to learn and grow within the culinary field, no experience is absolutely neccessary.

Duties

Assist with food preparation, assembling ingredients for baked goods.
Preparing wholesale items for delivery.
Help with packaging products for retail or wholesale customers.
Maintain cleanliness and organization of the kitchen and work stations in compliance with food safety regulations.
Follow proper food handling procedures to ensure product safety and freshness
Delivering to wholesale customers in the south delta area
Assist cleaning dishes
Provide excellent customer service when interacting with customers

Experience

Previous experience in a bakery, restaurant, or food preparation environment is great but not required.
Your own vehicle is a must. Gas reimbursed and drive time all paid of course.
Familiarity with food safety standards and proper food handling procedures.
Strong attention to detail, ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment, this position is in a busy commissary kitchen, home to over 70 other culinary vendors, a great place to make meaningful connections.

This position has a lot of growth potential as our wholesale customer list continues to grow, more help is needed. Not only this but other vendors in the kitchen are regularly looking to employ helping hands as well if you’re looking for even more hours.

Hours are roughly Tuesday- Saturday approximately 8am - 12pm at $20/hour

Pay: $20.00 per hour
