Lead Technician (Calgary) – Fix Network Restorations (A Division of the Luxuria Group of Companies)

We specialize in disaster restoration services—helping families and businesses recover from events such as fire, flood, storm, and other emergencies. We are currently seeking a Lead Technician to join our growing restoration team in Calgary, AB. This role is ideal for an ambitious, detail-oriented individual who is eager to develop their career in disaster restoration.
We provide hands-on training, mentorship, and industry-specific courses to support your growth and success.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead and supervise field teams through all phases of restoration, including demolition, cleanup, drying, remediation, and reconstruction support
- Conduct site assessments, determine scope of work, and communicate requirements to Project Management
- Ensure proper job site setup, containment, and equipment installation in accordance with IICRC and company standards
- Operate, monitor, and maintain restoration equipment (dehumidifiers, air movers, extractors, negative air machines, etc.)
- Perform moisture readings, environmental monitoring, and maintain accurate job documentation
- Train and mentor Field Assistants and Technicians on procedures, equipment use, and safety compliance
- Coordinate material deliveries, subcontractors, and site logistics
- Communicate professionally with property owners, adjusters, and insurance representatives
- Ensure compliance with company safety policies and provincial health and safety regulations
- Verify quality of completed work and report progress or issues to the Project Manager
- Maintain detailed site reports, photo documentation, and daily logs
- Perform other related duties in support of operational needs
- Participate in after-hours emergency response rotations as required
Qualifications
- 3+ years of hands-on restoration, construction, or remediation experience.
- Prior leadership or supervisory experience in a crew environment.
- Knowledge of restoration techniques, building materials, and safety standards.
- Strong communication, organizational, and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to adapt to changing priorities, work as a team or independently, and respond to urgent restoration needs.
- Physical ability to perform restoration tasks, including lifting and moving equipment.
- A valid driver’s license, clean driver’s abstract, and a clear criminal record.
- IICRC certifications (Water Damage, Fire & Smoke, and/or Applied Microbial Remediation) preferred.
