Are you looking for the chance to work in a highly collaborative, diverse, and exceptionally "nice" environment with a strong emphasis on equity, diversity, and inclusion?
Do you want to join a regional department consisting of 7 lawyers, 2 paralegals, 3 assistants, and 1 receptionist to manage complex life and health insurance litigation?
Language & Location Requirement Notice: 100% of the daily functions are executed in English; French is not required for this Western/Common-law regional role. Candidates must currently reside in or around Vancouver, BC, as this position features a hybrid work mode requiring 1 day per week in the Vancouver office (located at 1050-401 Georgia St. W.). Physical attendance is required dynamically when assembling physical trial/court binders.
We are currently hiring a dedicated Paralegal (Litigation) for an urgent 6-month temporary medical/sick leave replacement. In this role, you will manage a consistent, high-volume case load of approximately 130 active files, encompassing life and health insurance matters such as long-term disability (LTD), critical illness, and group benefit claims.
CRITICAL PREREQUISITES TO APPLY:
To be considered for this role, you MUST hold a college diploma/degree in Paralegal Studies (licensing not required in BC) and have dedicated litigation experience. You must have a strong background in civil litigation and solid, practical familiarity with British Columbia civil litigation procedures, BC Small Claims fillable forms, and the BC Court Services Online (CSO) portal.
Because this legal role holds deep system access rights across sensitive corporate financial environments, you must be willing and able to pass a rigorous background and credit check, showing no history of bankruptcy or unmanageable debt profiles.

To apply, you must submit your resume AND email your responses to the following questionnaire directly to [email protected].
