Full job description

Job Summary
We are seeking a skilled Web Developer and IT Specialist to join our dynamic team. This role involves maintaining and enhancing our web applications, providing technical support across various platforms, and ensuring the security and efficiency of our IT infrastructure. The ideal candidate will possess strong problem-solving abilities, excellent communication skills, and a solid understanding of computer networking and operating systems. This position offers an opportunity to work in a collaborative environment where innovation and customer service are prioritized.

Duties

Develop, update, and maintain company websites and web applications using relevant programming languages and frameworks.
Working heavily with WordPress, PHP and Laravel to create and update websites.
Troubleshoot WordPress and Linux Issues.
Setup, Configure and monitor AWS and IBM Cloud environments
Manage VPN connections, firewalls, LAN configurations, and other network security measures to ensure data integrity and protection.
Support end-users through help desk services utilizing tools like email, Team Work PM and other ticketing systems.
Assist with software troubleshooting related to Microsoft Office Suite, operating systems, and specialized applications.
Collaborate with teams on system upgrades, software deployment, and infrastructure improvements.
Document technical procedures and support workflows for ongoing maintenance and training purposes.

Requirements

Proven experience in WordPress, PHP and Laravel.
Strong knowledge of cloud based platforms AWS and IBM Cloud environments.
Hands-on experience with computer networking concepts including LAN setup, firewall configuration, VPN access, and LAN security protocols.
Proficiency in software troubleshooting across various platforms with excellent problem-solving skills.
Ability to communicate technical information clearly to non-technical users while providing exceptional customer service.
Knowledge of cybersecurity best practices related to firewalls and network security measures.
Strong organizational skills with the ability to prioritize tasks effectively in a fast-paced environment. This position is an excellent opportunity for individuals passionate about technology support and web development who thrive in collaborative environments focused on innovation and customer satisfaction.

Pay: $25.00-$35.00 per hour
