Manual Machinist (Intermediate Level)

We are seeking an Intermediate manual machinist to join our client in Burlington. This will be a direct hire position starting asap.

Experience:

RESPONSIBILITIES:

Provide quality and efficient mechanical and electrical repairs to a wide array of electro-mechanical equipment to ensure the customer receives a lasting repair and temporary repairs are only done when no other option is available and the customer is notified and in agreement.
Provide and record effective mechanical and electrical test on all jobs when possible to ensure management’s ability to quantify the quality of repair without your presence.
Record what time and materials were used on each job
Study job orders, read and interpret engineering drawings to determine machining operation to be performed, and plan best sequence of operations.
Calculate dimensions and tolerances and measure and lay out work pieces.
Set up and operate manual mill and lathe to perform machining operations, such as trimming impellers, machining shafts and sleeves, re bush housings, etc.
Verify dimensions of products for accuracy and conformance to specifications using precision measuring instruments.
Assist other technicians in completing their task in a timely manner when required.
