Full job description

Job Summary
We are seeking a friendly and efficient Part-time Bartender/Beverage Server to join our dynamic hospitality team. The ideal candidate will provide exceptional customer service, craft beverages, and ensure a welcoming environment for all guests. This role is perfect for individuals with a passion for the food and beverage industry who enjoy engaging with people and creating memorable experiences. Prior restaurant experience and familiarity with POS systems are a plus, but we welcome motivated learners eager to develop their skills in a fast-paced setting.

Duties

Prepare and serve alcoholic and non-alcoholic beverages to guests in accordance with established recipes and safety standards
Take customer orders accurately using POS systems such as Micros POS and process transactions efficiently
Ensure proper food handling and food safety procedures are followed at all times
Maintain cleanliness of the bar area, including glassware, utensils, and work surfaces
Monitor guest consumption to promote responsible drinking and adherence to legal regulations
Assist in setting up and breaking down the bar area before and after shifts
Provide excellent customer service by engaging with guests, answering questions, and addressing concerns promptly
Restock supplies as needed to ensure smooth operation during shifts

Skills

Experience with POS systems, particularly Micros POS or similar platforms
Previous restaurant or food service experience preferred, especially in hospitality environments
Strong customer service skills with the ability to engage positively with diverse guests
Knowledge of food safety standards and proper handling of beverages and food items
Excellent time management skills to handle multiple tables or orders efficiently during busy periods
Basic math skills for cash handling, making change, and calculating bills accurately
Ability to serve alcohol responsibly while adhering to legal drinking age regulations
Effective communication skills to collaborate with team members and interact professionally with guests
Knowledge of food industry standards, hospitality practices, and serving techniques
