CNC Machinist

XL Tool Inc. is currently seeking an experienced professional Machinist to join our growing team.

XL Tool is a tool and die and custom machining facility that provides high-quality solutions to a diverse range of industries, including Automotive, Nuclear, Controlled goods and other sectors that require custom machining services. Day shift (Monday – Friday)

Afternoon shift (Monday- Thursday)

MUST HAVE THE FOLLOWING EXPERIENCE:

Requirement:

Machinist trade certificate or 5 years’ experience as a CUSTOM Machinist
Experience in machine setup & Operation
Responsible for setup and operation
Experience machining Nuclear, Automation and Die components
Experience with Fanuc control is an asset
Bondable for controlled goods work

· Knowledge CAD Software, Mastercam preferred, Fusion would be an asset

· Perform daily machine checks for preventative maintenance and safety procedures.

Practice excellent general housekeeping, including but not limited to, his/her work area, chip removal, floor areas, benches, storage areas to ensure a safe work environment
Check all dimensions and tolerance.

Your contributions to the team include:

CNC Machine effectively and efficiently in a Custom Machining environment.
Ability to read & interpret blue prints, GD&T drawings, charts & tables. Motivated and able to work independently with minimal supervision
Ability to determine a machining process sequence per customer information & requirements provided in the Part Print.
Identify opportunities for improvement via new tooling, set up reduction concepts and programming changes to improve cost and delivery
Program using Mastercam and able to make decisions and edit programs if needed
CNC lathe experience would be an asset
Ability to work as a Team
Attention to Detail
Willing to work overtime if required
Work Safely and respectfully
Perform other duties as assigned.
