GIS Playback Manager

Annual salary: $ 109,700.00 - 138,700.00
What you'll do
Job Function:
- Supervise, mentor, and develop Geographic Information Systems (GIS) technical staff towards the goals of developing
and ensuring GIS based systems data accuracy and quality.
- Coach and train staff towards a common technical proficiency and required performance levels.
- Lead and manage the team that prepares and/or edit digital files required in an automated mapping/facilities management/
geographic information system (GIS).
- Assist in the evaluation of software and GIS related systems.
Major Responsibilities & Duties:
- Manages a team of MoveUP staff responsible for updating an operate layer of the Distribution GIS (playback) and
performing data corrections.
- Oversees the management of the Distribution GIS database including development, digitization, and maintenance.
- Manages client relationships to understand engineering, operations, and field crews project workflows, and manage
resources and technology to meet clients’ needs.
- Works closely with the Leadership Team to identify opportunities to share resources and collaborate across the business.
- Develops business objectives to meet client and Business Unit requirements.
- Participates in and contributes to related initiatives while supporting and implementing business improvement objectives.
- Leads continuous improvement initiatives.
- Liaises with a broad range of stakeholders including but not limited to IT, Design, Drawing Management, T&D System
Operations, and Line Field Crews.
- Manages and measures performance metrics for the group.
- Manages and administers employee performance under the Collective Agreement.
Skills and Knowledge Required:
- Knowledge of the electrical and civil components of Distribution projects and systems.
- Demonstrated organization, planning, financial, and people leadership and management skills.
- Demonstrated customer service orientation and client focus in a complex, high-volume environment is an asset.
