Controller / Financial Analyst / Finance Manager

Salary: $130,000- 150,000/Year - Depending on experience, qualifications, and education level

Location: Edmonton AB

Permanent Full-Time position

Currently seeking a Senior Accountant / Finance Manager for a mid sized that specializes in high voltage electrical inspection and commissioning. This position will oversee the day-to-day aspects of the accounting department such as daily bookkeeping, AP/AR, Financial reconciliations, monthly and yearly reporting, etc. Finance planning and analysis of the company's current financial position, planning for future expansion, managing cash flow activities, etc. This role will also oversee aspects of managing the office team , payroll and some HR related functions (benefits administration,

Job Scope:

Responsible for all bookkeeping/accounting duties for all locations
Accounts Receivable and Accounts Payables
Send customer invoices, credit memos, reconciliations and setting up credit terms
Complete all payroll duties including ROEs, expenses and commissions, preparing T4s, entering and reviewing time sheets, adding new employees
Prepare annual budget
Monthly Financial Reporting, complete monthly adjusting entries, reconciliation of Accounts
Prepare year-end reporting for external accountants and coordinate year-end tax filings
Analyze and prepare ad hoc reporting as needed by management and ownership group
Presenting financial reports and explaining current financial position to management and ownership group
Analysing and projection of current financial position, Finance planning, Expansion planning
Manage all ERP systems including updates
Contribute to strategic planning by providing financial guidance
General office management
Ensuring employee recognition such as birthdays is accounted for

Qualifications:

Attention to detail and well-organized with a high level of accuracy
Diploma or degree in accounting, finance or a similar field (CPA is an asset)
Strong Sage Accounting knowledge
Minimum 2 years of experience with bookkeeping
Able to resolve accounting/reconciliation issues, prioritize tasks and set goals
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
Strategic thinking
