About Us

We are a heat treatment facility in Mississauga, Ontario serving aerospace and industrial customers. We recently commissioned a Haas ST-10 CNC lathe to produce tensile test coupons in-house and are looking for an experienced machinist to join us on a flexible, part-time basis.

About the Role

This is approximately 2 to 3 shifts per week — consistent, repeat work with flexible scheduling built around your availability. It is an ideal opportunity for a retired machinist, a tradesperson seeking supplemental income, or someone looking for weekend contract work without the commitment of full-time employment.

What You'll Be Doing

Operating and setting up a Haas ST-10 CNC lathe to produce tensile test specimens to ASTM E8 standards
Turning alloy steel bar stock including hardened material (carbide and CBN tooling)
Performing basic dimensional inspection using micrometers, dial indicators, and surface finish measurement tools
Following two-stage machining procedures and maintaining production records
Occasional G-code program review or minor edits via Haas NGC control

What We're Looking For

Proven CNC lathe experience — setup and operation, not operator-only
Ability to work to tight tolerances and read engineering drawings
Haas control experience is a strong asset
Experience with hardened steel turning (HRC 45+) is a significant advantage
Comfortable working independently with minimal supervision
Reliable and professional — our work is audit-sensitive
