Position Overview
We are seeking a highly motivated, knowledgeable, and patient-focused Medical Aesthetician to join our growing aesthetic practice. This role is ideal for an individual who is passionate about skin health, aesthetic medicine, patient outcomes, and business growth.
The ideal candidate is clinically confident, aesthetically driven, self-starting, and comfortable building long-term patient relationships through education, treatment planning, and exceptional service.
This position plays a critical role in:
- Delivering advanced aesthetic treatments
- Supporting patient consultations and conversions
- Recommending comprehensive skin programs
- Driving retail skincare sales
- Supporting laser and energy-based treatment growth
- Assisting with marketing, social media, and patient engagement initiatives
Experience with laser or energy-based devices is considered a strong asset; however, candidates with advanced aesthetic treatment experience and a strong willingness to learn are encouraged to apply.
Key Responsibilities
Patient Experience & Consultations
- Deliver exceptional patient care and create a luxury, welcoming clinic experience
- Conduct comprehensive skin assessments and consultations
- Educate patients on treatment options, expected outcomes, treatment timelines, and homecare recommendations
- Build customized treatment plans incorporating:
- Medical-grade skincare
- Laser procedures
- Energy-based treatments
- Advanced skin rejuvenation therapies
- Maintenance and long-term skin health programs
- Develop long-term patient relationships focused on retention and recurring care
- Support physicians, nurse injectors, and other providers with patient education and treatment coordination
- Follow up with prospective and existing patients to improve treatment conversion and retention
Clinical & Treatment Responsibilities
- Perform advanced aesthetic treatments within scope of practice, including but not limited to:
- Medical facials
- Chemical peels
- Microneedling
- Dermaplaning
- Acne treatments
- Pigment correction therapies
- Skin rejuvenation procedures
- Assist with or perform laser and energy-based procedures where permitted and trained
- Prepare treatment rooms and patients for procedures
- Maintain accurate patient charting and documentation
- Ensure compliance with clinic protocols, infection prevention standards, and regulatory requirements
- Maintain treatment photography standards and documentation for before-and-after records
- Participate in ongoing training and device education
Sales & Revenue Growth Responsibilities
- Confidently recommend comprehensive treatment programs and packages
- Promote treatment memberships, bundled programs, and maintenance plans
- Drive medical-grade skincare sales through patient education and product knowledge
- Identify opportunities to cross-sell and upgrade treatments appropriately
- Support achievement of clinic revenue and retail goals
- Help patients understand the value of long-term skin correction versus one-time treatments
- Maintain strong understanding of pricing, promotions, financing options, and patient incentives
Marketing & Business Development
- Assist with social media content creation, including:
- Educational videos
- Treatment demonstrations
- Before-and-after content
- Patient testimonials
- Instagram/TikTok/Reels content
- Participate in clinic events, launch parties, open houses, and promotional campaigns
- Support patient reactivation initiatives and outreach campaigns
- Build community awareness through professional networking and local engagement
- Assist in maintaining a strong online brand presence aligned with clinic standards
- Stay informed on aesthetic trends, technologies, and competitive offerings

Qualifications & Requirements
Required
- Medical Aesthetician diploma or equivalent certification
- Experience performing advanced aesthetic treatments
- Strong knowledge of skincare products and skin physiology
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
- Comfortable using consultation and sales techniques ethically and confidently
- Professional appearance and demeanour
- Ability to work evenings/weekends as required for events or clinic schedules
Preferred / Assets
- Experience in a medical aesthetic, dermatology, plastic surgery, or physician-led clinic
- Experience with laser or energy-based devices
- Experience with:
- RF microneedling
- IPL
- Fractional lasers
- Skin tightening technologies
- Body contouring devices
- Existing social media/content creation experience
- Existing patient following or community presence
- Retail sales or consultative sales experience
- Photography/content editing skills
