Responsibilities:

Clerical functions of Health Records includes, but not limited to:

processing patient charts
filing and retrieving charts
filing late reports
reception duties
answering phones
communication with Doctors regarding chart completion

Qualifications:

Post-secondary education in Medical Office Administration or Health Information or equivalent required
Minimum of one (1) year of experience in a Hospital Health Records Department required.
Qualified applicants must possess word processing computer experience in a hospital information system.
Previous experience using Meditech is mandatory.
Demonstrated accurate filing and typing skills with typing speed of at least 40 w.p.m. is required (testing will be conducted).
Medical terminology and accurate spelling is required, with thorough attention to detail.
Strong command of the English language.
You must be able to work independently in a busy environment with good public relations skills while maintaining patient confidentiality.
Ability to set priorities, manage multiple tasks and work independently is essential.
Demonstrated reliable attendance, punctuality and performance
