Job Overview

We are seeking a friendly and professional Part-time Bartender to join our vibrant team. The ideal candidate will have a passion for hospitality, excellent customer service skills, and the ability to create a welcoming environment for our guests. This role involves preparing and serving beverages, engaging with customers, and ensuring a safe and enjoyable experience. Prior experience in food and beverage service, particularly in a restaurant or bar setting, is preferred. The position offers flexible hours perfect for those looking to supplement their income while working in a lively atmosphere.

Responsibilities

Prepare and serve alcoholic and non-alcoholic beverages efficiently and accurately using POS systems such as Micros POS.
Engage with guests in a friendly, professional manner to enhance their experience.
Maintain cleanliness and organization of the bar area, adhering to food safety and food handling standards.
Manage cash handling and cashiering duties accurately, including processing payments via POS systems.
Ensure responsible serving practices by monitoring guest alcohol consumption and adhering to legal requirements.
Restock bar supplies as needed and assist with opening or closing duties.
Collaborate with team members to ensure smooth operation during busy hours, demonstrating strong time management skills.
Uphold all health and safety regulations related to food safety, food service, and alcohol service.

Requirements

Previous restaurant or food industry experience is highly desirable.
Knowledge of POS systems such as Micros POS is preferred.
Strong customer service skills with the ability to engage positively with guests.
Basic math skills for cash handling, making change, and calculating tabs accurately.
Excellent time management skills to handle multiple tasks efficiently during busy periods.
Ability to serve alcohol responsibly following all legal regulations.
Food safety certification or willingness to obtain certification prior to employment is a plus.
Must be at least 21 years old (or age required by local laws).
Ability to work flexible hours including evenings and weekends as needed.
