Full job description

We are seeking a skilled and passionate Grill Chef to join our dynamic culinary team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in food preparation, cooking, and food safety, with experience in restaurant or food industry settings. As a key member of our kitchen staff, you will be responsible for preparing and cooking grilled dishes that meet our high standards for quality and presentation. This role offers an exciting opportunity to showcase your culinary talents in a fast-paced environment dedicated to delivering exceptional dining experiences.

Duties

Prepare and cook a variety of grilled dishes according to recipes and customer preferences
Ensure all food is prepared safely and in compliance with food handling and safety regulations
Assist with meal preparation, including chopping, marinating, and assembling ingredients
Serve food efficiently to guests while maintaining high standards of presentation and quality
Maintain cleanliness and organization of the grill station and kitchen area
Monitor cooking times and temperatures to ensure optimal results
Collaborate with team members to deliver excellent food service and customer satisfaction
Follow all health and safety guidelines related to food industry standards

Requirements

Proven experience in food preparation, cooking, or as a grill chef within a restaurant or food service environment
Strong knowledge of food handling, safety procedures, and sanitation standards
Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced setting while maintaining attention to detail
Excellent serving skills with a focus on customer satisfaction
Familiarity with meal preparation techniques specific to grilling and barbecue cuisine
Kitchen experience in the food industry is highly desirable
Good understanding of the importance of food safety practices and hygiene standards
Ability to work flexible hours, including evenings or weekends if required
