Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and organized Medical Office Assistant to join our healthcare team. The ideal candidate will provide exceptional administrative support in a fast-paced Family Medicine Office. This role involves managing patient interactions, maintaining electronic medical records, and ensuring smooth daily operations. Experience with medical office procedures, along with proficiency in relevant software, is required. The successful candidate will be detail-oriented, professional, and capable of handling multiple responsibilities efficiently.

Duties

Greet patients and visitors at the front desk with professionalism and courtesy
Manage multi-line phone systems to schedule appointments, answer inquiries, and relay messages
Assist with patient check-in and check-out processes using electronic medical records systems, Telus PSS
Verify patient information and update records accordingly
Prepare and organize patient charts, forms, and documentation for appointments
Maintain a clean and organized front office environment
Support physician with administrative and management tasks as needed
Ensure compliance with privacy regulations and confidentiality standards

Requirements

Prior experience as a Medical Office Assistant is required
Proficiency in Electronic Medical Records (EMR) systems such as Telus PSS
Strong knowledge of medical terminology
Excellent communication skills, including experience handling multi-line phone systems
Ability to multitask efficiently in a busy healthcare setting
Strong organizational skills with attention to detail
Professional appearance and demeanor suitable for a healthcare environment

Pay: $25.00-$30.00 per hour

Experience:

MOA: 1 year (required)
