Vice President, Operations — Ridge North America
Location: Hybrid, Based in British Columbia and able to travel to various sites
Reports to: President, Ridge North America
Direct Reports: GM or senior leader of all operations within the regional geography
Role Overview
The Vice President of Operations is the operational architect of Ridge North America, responsible for transforming Ridge’s strategic vision into disciplined, scalable execution across all destinations, assets, and guest‑facing experiences. This role ensures that Ridge’s operational ecosystem, spanning hospitality, adventure, retail, food & beverage, and on‑site services, delivers consistently elevated, brand‑aligned experiences. The VP of Operations builds the systems, teams, and performance culture required to support Ridge’s growth trajectory and long‑term enterprise value.
This is a highly autonomous executive role for a seasoned operator who is energized by building in dynamic environments. The VP of Operations must be equally comfortable setting structure and making decisions without perfect information, bringing clarity to complexity, and leading with confidence across a diverse and evolving platform. This leader will play a critical role in embedding the Ridge way: our standards, service ethos, operating discipline, and Play / Stay / Live philosophy, into every aspect of the business.

Core Responsibilities
Operational Leadership
Lead day‑to‑day operations across Ridge’s destinations and business units, ensuring seamless, high‑quality delivery of the Ridge experience.
Develop and implement Ridge‑specific operational frameworks, SOPs, and service standards that scale across diverse environments.
Establish operational KPIs and dashboards that provide clarity, accountability, and real‑time visibility into performance.
Strategic Execution
Translate Ridge’s strategic priorities—commercial, experiential, development, and brand—into actionable operational plans.
Drive alignment and consistency in approach with other regional VPs
Partner closely with the President, CCO, CFO, and Development leadership to ensure operational readiness for new sites, expansions, and major initiatives.
Lead operational integration for new ventures, ensuring Ridge’s brand and service ethos are embedded from day one.
Team & Culture Leadership
Build and mentor high‑performing operational teams across multiple geographies and disciplines.
Foster a culture of accountability, continuous improvement, and guest‑centric excellence that reflects Ridge’s premium positioning.
Establish clear reporting lines, communication rhythms, and cross‑functional alignment with Commercial, Brand, Finance, and Development.
Financial & Performance Management
Oversee operational budgets, forecasting, and cost‑management strategies across Ridge’s portfolio.
Optimize resource allocation, vendor partnerships, and operational efficiencies to support profitability and long‑term sustainability.
Identify operational risks and ensure compliance with safety, regulatory, and environmental standards across all Ridge properties.
Guest & Stakeholder Experience
Champion Ridge’s guest‑experience philosophy, ensuring every touchpoint reflects the brand’s elevated, nature‑immersive identity.
Implement quality‑assurance programs, feedback loops, and service‑recovery protocols that reinforce Ridge’s reputation for excellence.
Ensure consistency of experience across all Ridge destinations, regardless of scale or geography.
Systems, Technology & Process Optimization
Evaluate and implement operational technologies that enhance efficiency, data visibility, and guest experience.
Drive process innovation, automation, and system integration across Ridge’s operational ecosystem.
Ensure operational infrastructure is built for scalability as Ridge expands into new markets and destination types.
Qualifications & Experience
10+ years of progressive leadership in operations within hospitality, tourism, adventure, or complex multi‑site environments.
Proven ability to scale operations and build systems in high‑growth, high‑complexity organizations.
Strong financial acumen with experience managing multi‑unit budgets and performance metrics.
Demonstrated success in cross‑functional leadership and executive‑level collaboration.
Experience delivering brand‑aligned operations in premium or experiential environments.
