Our team works closely with ownership in a collaborative, hands-on environment that values initiative and teamwork. We operate in an essential industry, providing emergency, standby, and prime power solutions that support everything from homes to critical infrastructure and life-safety systems. We are seeking a Controller to join our team in a newly created role. This is a unique opportunity to build the finance function from the ground up, establish processes, and play a key role in shaping the organization’s financial foundation.

YOUR DAY TO DAY:

Lead the development and oversight of CF’s financial management functions
Design and implement monthly financial reporting practices, including the preparation and presentation of financial statements
Streamline accounts payable (AP) and accounts receivable (AR) processes to support efficiency and accuracy
Assist with the design and implementation of an inventory management system
Develop and maintain financial policies, controls, and procedures to ensure compliance with applicable rules, laws, and regulations
Partner with leadership to build financial visibility, support decision-making, and align financial activities with budgets and timelines
Build frameworks to collect, analyze, and consolidate financial data to inform strategic planning and business decisions
Lead the coordination of external audits and establish processes to support ongoing regulatory reporting requirements
Design and drive budgeting, forecasting, and procurement processes to support organizational growth
Continuously assess, refine, and implement accounting practices and internal controls to align with evolving business needs
Identify, develop, and track key performance indicators (KPIs) to measure financial and operational performance
Contribute to building a positive, collaborative, and high-performing finance function as the team grows

WHAT YOU BRING:

Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field
Certified Public Accountant (CPA) designation (or in progress) is highly desirable
Strong foundation in accounting principles, financial reporting, and regulatory requirements, with the ability to apply them in a growing and evolving environment
Experience in, or a strong interest in, building, improving, or streamlining financial processes and systems
Comfort working in environments with evolving structures, where initiative and problem solving are key
Proficiency in accounting software, with the ability to evaluate and implement tools that support scalability
Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with a collaborative and hands-on approach
