Experienced Carpenter

Job Description

Jon Witzel Contracting is looking for an experienced carpenter for our Residential, Agricultural and Commercial sectors. This role requires detailed craftsmanship of all interior and exterior finishes, putting the final touches on our residential, agricultural and commercial projects, including completion of custom homes, renovations, additions, barns, drive sheds & shops, offices and tenant outfits.

Responsibilities

Perform construction duties as per project scope including: demolition, framing drywall, millwork, trim and flooring with an extreme level of detail
Ability to work independently or collaboratively with a crew (based on size of project) to ensure the job is completed from start to finish
Ability to read and understand design drawings, blueprints and material specifications
Place a high priority on safety; be familiar with provincial standards; be responsible for enforcing safety standards on-site
Communicate with homeowners, colleagues, subtrades and report daily to Project Manager
