Full job description

Our client, an established and growing B2B SaaS organization, is seeking a motivated and results-driven Business Development Representative to lead the expansion of its presence within the Canadian market. This is a unique opportunity to become the company's first sales hire in Canada, playing a key role in driving business growth, generating new opportunities, and building long-term client relationships. Please note, this is a hybrid role, requiring three days in-office and two days remote each week.

Working closely with the leadership team, the candidate will be responsible for developing a sales pipeline through a combination of outbound prospecting and marketing-generated leads, conducting product demonstrations, managing the sales process from initial outreach through closing, and providing a high level of client service throughout the customer journey.

Compensation & Benefits

Salary: $60,000 – $80,000 (commensurate with experience)
Hybrid work model (3 days in-office, 2 days remote)

Key Responsibilities

Develop new business opportunities through outbound prospecting, cold calling, networking, and strategic business development initiatives
Manage the full sales cycle from prospecting and qualification through product demonstrations, proposal discussions, negotiation, and closing
Conduct virtual product demonstrations and effectively communicate the value of the SaaS platform to prospective clients
Build and maintain a strong sales pipeline by leveraging both self-generated opportunities and marketing-qualified leads
Develop and maintain relationships with decision-makers across a variety of organizations throughout Canada

Qualifications

Minimum 3 years of B2B SaaS sales experience
Demonstrated experience managing a sales pipeline and closing business within a sales environment
Experience conducting product demonstrations and presenting product solutions to prospective clients
Experience managing sales opportunities with deal sizes typically ranging from $10,000 to $30,000
Strong understanding of CRM systems and sales technologies
Excellent communication, presentation, and relationship-building skills
Highly motivated, confident, and proactive with an entrepreneurial mindset
Self-starter with excellent organizational and time management skills
Professional, resilient, and results-oriented with a strong customer-service mindset
Experience selling subscription-based SaaS solutions is considered a strong asset
Previous experience working within a growing or entrepreneurial business environment is considered an asset
