About Pentalift Equipment Corporation:

Founded in 1983, Pentalift is one of North America's leading manufacturers of loading dock and industrial material handling equipment. We are proud to be a reliable supplier to dealers, general contractors and manufacturing companies located all over North America.

We are looking for:

We are looking for an experienced Welder/Fitter to join our dedicated team on the afternoon shift (Monday-Thursday, 3:30 pm-2:00 am). This role will work out of our 87,000 sq. ft. facility located in Puslinch, ON.

Please note that this is a 10 hours, 4 days/week shift and our location is not accessible by bus. There is a premium offered for all hours worked on the afternoon shift.

Primary Responsibilities:

Fit and weld lift tables and dock lifts
Read and interpret blue prints, sketches and drawing specifications
Weld/assemble fabrications accurately and efficiently based on the drawings/instructions provided
Assemble large weldments into finished product
Simple hydraulic plumbing and hose routing
Test final product for function and conformance to customer specifications
Operate crane and other material handling equipment as needed
Work in a safe manner in accordance to legislation and Company policies. This includes wearing required PPE (Welding helmet, steel toed boots, hearing protection, safety glasses)

Qualifications:

2+ years reading blueprints with the ability to understand welding symbols and diagrams
3+ years of experience in a fast paced custom steel fabrication setting
3+ years of experience with MIG welding is required
Possess a positive attitude and work well in a team oriented environment

A weld test will be conducted during the interview process.
