Build Something Bigger With Us
Custom Building Products is a leading manufacturer of tile and stone installation systems, surface preparation products, waterproofing solutions, grouts, mortars, and specialty construction materials used across residential, commercial, and institutional projects throughout North America.
Proudly part of the QUIKRETE family of companies, we combine the strength of an industry leader with the culture and values of a long-standing family-owned business. With Canadian manufacturing operations and decades of history supporting the construction industry, we take pride in delivering quality products, strong customer relationships, and hands-on support throughout the market.
About the Role
We are currently seeking a motivated, competitive, and customer-focused Commercial Sales Manager to support and grow our Ontario business.
Reporting to: Vice President, Sales
This position focuses heavily on commercial project activity, contractor relationships, specifications, and business development throughout Ontario. The successful candidate will work closely with architects, designers, specification firms, distributors, contractors, and our internal sales team to help drive opportunities from specification through installation.
While the primary territory is Ontario, the successful candidate must be willing to travel as needed to support customers, projects, demonstrations, training events, and company initiatives throughout the region.
The preferred candidate will reside in the eastern side of the Greater Toronto Area to help strategically balance customer coverage and support across Ontario. In a large, high-traffic region such as the GTA and surrounding markets, minimizing windshield time is critical to maximizing customer engagement, jobsite support, specification activity, training opportunities, and overall responsiveness.
Why This Role Stands Out
This is an exciting opportunity for someone who enjoys being out in the field, meeting people, building relationships, and being directly involved in the construction industry every day. No two days are the same — one day could involve a specification meeting with an architect, the next could be a contractor jobsite visit, product demonstration, training event, or helping launch a new opportunity with a key customer.
If you enjoy hands-on work, setting up and demonstrating products, being around active construction projects, and working with contractors and customers face-to-face, this can be a very rewarding and interesting career opportunity.
At the same time, this role requires a strong work ethic, accountability, organization, and a competitive mindset. Success comes from being proactive, responsive, team-oriented, and willing to put in the effort to help both our customers and our business grow.
While this role has a strong commercial and specification focus, supporting our retail and distribution partners is also an important part of the position. The successful candidate must be willing to actively support retail training events, in-store demonstrations, product knowledge sessions, merchandising initiatives, contractor events, and customer engagement activities throughout the Ontario market.
At Custom Building Products Canada, we work closely across both commercial and retail channels, and our team takes pride in being hands-on and supportive wherever opportunities exist.
