Full job description

Our FYidoctors Moncton and FYidoctors Petitcodiac clinics are looking for someone like you to bring your exceptional skills and experience and join us as an Optical Associate to fill an existing vacancy!

In this role, you’ll enhance the lives of our patients every single day, delivering exceptional vision and eyewear experiences in a dynamic, rewarding, and collaborative environment.

This position is a full-time role working 30-40 hours per week. Our clinics are open Monday to Friday. Travel is required weekly to our Petitcodiac clinic - own transportation is required.

What You’ll Do

Greet and welcome patients to the clinic, engage with patients in person, by phone, and via email
Educate patients on eyewear options tailored to their lifestyle, assisting with frame selection to ensure optimal value, quality, aesthetics, and performance
Interpret optical prescriptions provided by the optometrist
Perform frame and facial measurements, ensuring proper fit and positioning of new eyewear, as well as repairs and adjustments
Coordinate appointments, and prepare prescription printouts
Manage billing and payments for patients, insurers and other third parties
Assist with contact lens fittings and process contact lens orders
Deliver exceptional customer service, ensuring a positive patient experience
Support clinic operations by performing additional duties as required

What You Bring

Previous optical experience or retail experience is considered an asset
Ability to multi-task and thrive in a fast-paced environment
Proficiency with technology and computers, including MS Office Suite
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with a passion for connecting with patients and delivering exceptional patient experiences
A collaborative, adaptable, and proactive team player with a growth mindset, able to manage changing priorities effectively
