Job Summary
We are seeking a talented and experienced Sous Chef to join our dynamic culinary team. The ideal candidate will possess strong leadership skills, extensive kitchen experience, and a passion for delivering exceptional food service. As a key member of our restaurant management team, the Sous Chef will assist in overseeing daily kitchen operations, ensuring food quality and safety standards are met, and supporting the development of culinary staff. This role offers an exciting opportunity to contribute to a vibrant hospitality environment while honing your skills in food preparation, team management, and restaurant management.

Duties

Assist the Head Chef in managing daily kitchen operations, including food preparation and cooking processes.
Supervise and oversee kitchen staff to ensure efficient workflow and high-quality food service.
Lead food safety and sanitation practices in compliance with health regulations.
Coordinate with front-of-house staff to ensure timely serving of dishes and excellent customer experience.
Monitor inventory levels and assist with ordering supplies to maintain smooth kitchen operations.
Train and mentor junior kitchen staff, fostering a collaborative team environment.
Ensure all dishes are prepared according to recipes, presentation standards, and customer specifications.
Manage kitchen schedules, assign tasks, and oversee food handling procedures.
Support restaurant management in menu development and special event planning as needed.

Requirements

Proven supervising experience in a fast-paced restaurant or food service environment.
Strong background in food preparation, cooking techniques, and food safety protocols.
Demonstrated leadership skills with the ability to manage a diverse culinary team effectively.
Extensive restaurant experience with knowledge of kitchen operations and hospitality standards.
Excellent food handling skills and familiarity with health regulations governing the food industry.
Ability to work under pressure while maintaining attention to detail and quality standards.
Exceptional communication skills to coordinate with staff and front-of-house personnel.
Passion for culinary excellence and continuous learning within the food industry. This role is perfect for a dedicated professional looking to advance their career in restaurant management while showcasing their culinary expertise in a vibrant hospitality setting.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: From $23.00 per hour
