Experienced Demolition Worker – Subcontractor
Location: Ottawa, ON
Pay: $25.00–$35.00 per hour, based on experience, capability, and reliability

ABOUT US
We are a professional demolition and concrete surface preparation contractor working on residential, commercial, retail, institutional, and industrial projects throughout Ottawa and the surrounding area.
We are looking for experienced, dependable demolition workers interested in steady project work and long-term opportunities with our company.
Our workload varies by project, but we regularly require workers who are available on a full-time basis and able to commit to an active project schedule. Strong, reliable workers will be prioritized for ongoing opportunities as new projects are awarded.
Candidates with professional concrete grinding, polishing, surface preparation, concrete placement, forming, or finishing experience are especially encouraged to apply.
RESPONSIBILITIES
- Interior demolition and strip-outs
- Selective demolition
- Commercial and general demolition work
- Removal of drywall, ceilings, flooring, framing, fixtures, and finishes
- Concrete demolition and surface preparation
- Loading and handling demolition debris
- Site cleanup and material handling
- Operating demolition tools and equipment safely
- Following site safety requirements and project scope
- Working efficiently as part of a professional demolition crew
REQUIREMENTS
- Minimum 3 years of regular, full-time hands-on demolition experience
- Experience must come from consistent professional demolition work, not occasional renovation, handyman, or personal projects
- Proven experience with interior and selective demolition
- Ability to work productively with minimal supervision
- Strong work ethic and consistent attendance
- Reliable and punctual
- Available for full-time project schedules
- Physically capable of demanding manual labour
STRONG ASSETS
- Commercial, retail, institutional, or industrial demolition experience
- Professional concrete grinding and surface preparation experience
- Concrete polishing experience
- Concrete placement, forming, installation, or finishing experience
- Experience operating planetary floor grinders and industrial dust-extraction equipment
- Concrete saw cutting or coring experience
- WHMIS certification
- Working at Heights certification
- Scissor lift or boom lift experience
- Skid steer, mini excavator, or telehandler experience
- Experience leading small crews
- Valid driver's license and reliable transportation
SUBCONTRACTOR ARRANGEMENT
This position is currently offered on a project-based subcontractor basis and is not an employee/payroll position.
- Work is offered based on active projects and company requirements
- Full-time hours may be available while projects are active
- No guaranteed hours between projects
- Workers may accept or decline new project opportunities
- Once committed to a project, reliable attendance and availability for the agreed schedule are expected
- Payment is made by e-transfer against hours worked and invoiced
