Full job description

Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Painter/Laborer to join our construction and restoration team. This role involves performing a variety of painting and labor tasks across residential, commercial, and industrial projects. The ideal candidate will have a strong work ethic, excellent communication skills, and experience with various tools and techniques related to construction painting and general labor. This position offers an opportunity to develop your skills in a dynamic environment while contributing to high-quality project completion.

Responsibilities

Prepare surfaces for painting by cleaning, sanding, caulking, and masking areas as needed
Apply paint, stain, or other finishes using brushes, rollers, or power tools in accordance with project specifications
Read and interpret blueprints, schematics, and construction drawings to ensure accurate application of paint and materials
Operate hand tools, power tools, and rigging equipment safely and effectively
Assist with carpentry tasks such as framing or repairs as required for restoration projects
Follow safety protocols to maintain a safe work environment at all times
Manage time efficiently to meet project deadlines while maintaining quality standards
Communicate effectively with team members and clients to ensure project requirements are understood and met
Support the setup and breakdown of work sites, including scaffolding or ladders when necessary

Experience

Prior experience in construction painting, residential or commercial painting preferred
Knowledge of industrial painting techniques is a plus
Familiarity with blueprint reading, schematics, and construction drawings is advantageous
Hands-on experience with hand tools, power tools, caulking, and rigging required
Background in carpentry or restoration work is beneficial
Strong time management skills and the ability to work independently or as part of a team
Excellent communication skills to coordinate tasks effectively on-site
