Full job description

We're seeking a motivated and hardworking individual to join a leading building products company in the South East End as a contract Shipper/Receiver. This is a contract for 2 months with the possibility of extension.

Required Skills and qualifications:

High school diploma or equivalent, supplemented by a combination of education and experience
Minimum 1 year of experience in shipping, receiving, or logistics
Excellent written and verbal communication skills
Ability to lift up to 50 pounds safely and efficiently
Proficient in reading and interpreting product codes and descriptions
Strong basic math skills for accurate counting and inventory management
Forklift operation experience is considered an asset

Duties may include, but are not limited to:

Pick and pack client orders using order picking sheets to locate products throughout the warehouse
Package orders accurately and efficiently
Transport products safely using manual lifting, carts, or dollies
Load client orders into trucks and verify contents
Unload incoming shipments and put products away in designated warehouse storage areas
Conduct inventory counts to ensure accuracy
Dispose of trash and recycling, and keep work areas clean, clear, and safe from hazards

Monday to Friday – 7:30am to 4:00pm

Wage: $20.50 per hour
