Job Overview
We are seeking a dynamic and experienced Kitchen Manager to oversee daily operations in a fast-paced food service environment. The ideal candidate will possess strong leadership skills, extensive restaurant management experience, and a passion for delivering exceptional customer service. This role involves supervising kitchen staff, ensuring food safety standards, and maintaining high-quality food preparation and presentation. The Kitchen Manager will play a vital role in fostering a positive team environment and ensuring the smooth operation of the restaurant or hospitality establishment.

Responsibilities

Supervise and coordinate kitchen staff, including hiring, training, and evaluating performance
Oversee food preparation, cooking, and presentation to ensure quality standards are met
Manage inventory levels, order supplies, and control food costs effectively
Ensure compliance with food safety regulations and sanitation standards
Handle cash handling duties and POS transactions using Micros POS or similar systems
Monitor daily operations to optimize efficiency and customer satisfaction
Lead team meetings, provide coaching, and foster a collaborative work environment
Assist with interviewing and onboarding new team members
Maintain cleanliness and organization of the kitchen area according to health codes
Collaborate with front-of-house staff to ensure seamless service delivery

Skills

Proven experience in restaurant management or food service leadership
Strong knowledge of food preparation, cooking techniques, and food safety protocols
Experience with POS systems such as Micros POS or similar platforms
Demonstrated supervisory experience with team management capabilities
Excellent customer service skills with a focus on hospitality excellence
Ability to handle cash transactions accurately and efficiently
Skilled in food handling procedures and maintaining high standards of cleanliness
Leadership qualities with the ability to motivate and develop staff members
Background in hotel or barista experience is a plus but not required
Knowledge of the food industry trends and restaurant operations is highly desirable
