Overview
Join our dynamic team as an LBM Counter Salesperson, where you'll be the key to delivering exceptional customer service and expert product knowledge in the building materials and construction industry. This vibrant role offers the opportunity to engage with a diverse clientele, assist with high-end sales, and contribute to remodeling and renovation projects. Your enthusiasm and organizational skills will be an asset to our team. Duties

Greet customers warmly and assist them in selecting building materials, lighting fixtures, and renovation supplies with confidence and expertise
Engage in outside sales efforts by proactively reaching out to contractors, interior designers, and retail clients to grow business opportunities
Utilize POS systems for accurate cash handling, sales processing, inventory management, and stock replenishment
Maintain organized merchandising displays and ensure stock levels are optimal for customer convenience
Collaborate with team members on marketing initiatives and promotional activities to attract new customers and retain existing ones

Requirements

Proven experience in retail sales or inside sales within the construction, renovation industry is preferred
Strong communication skills in English; multilingual abilities are a plus for serving diverse clientele
Demonstrated ability in negotiation, upselling, and account management to foster long-term customer relationships
Familiarity with remodeling projects, maintenance procedures, and construction materials
Excellent organizational skills with attention to detail for merchandising, stock management, and customer service documentation
Basic math skills for retail math calculations including pricing, discounts, and inventory counts
Ability to operate POS systems efficiently while maintaining accuracy in cash handling and cashiering duties
