Legal Assistant – Labour & Employment

We are currently recruiting for a Legal Administrative Assistant with at least 5 years' of experience. This is a permanent full-time position. Experience in Labour & Employment is mandatory.

Duties:

· Drafting legal documents, pleadings and correspondence

· Management of files from opening to closing including filing, file organization, tracking and filing email correspondence

· Ability to diarize dates independently with respect to client files and practice management, maintenance of a lawyer’s calendar and a reliable bring forward (BF) system

· Preparation of monthly accounts and expense reports

· Coordination of lawyer’s administrative tasks and marketing initiatives

· Solid understanding of legal procedures and documentation

· Recent commercial litigation experience

· Advanced knowledge of Microsoft Office including Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Outlook

· Advanced knowledge of a document management program

· Excellent composition, grammar, spelling, and editing skills

· Communicates professionally with clients, co-workers and other parties

· Ability to balance and prioritize a substantial workload and handle routine tasks with little supervision

· L.A.A. Certificate or equivalent work experience.
