Full job description

River Rock Casino Resort is currently looking for a Food & Beverage Lead in the Buffet. Under the supervision of the Shift Manager, Food & Beverage, this position is responsible for coordinating day- to-day activities of Food and Beverage Operation(s) or Bar Operations on a shift basis while establishing a safe and welcoming work environment for all team members. Ensures adherence to all policies and procedures. This position may be held by Servers, Bartenders, and Host/Hostesses and is considered to be a progressive line position.

Duties and responsibilities for our next Team Lead include:

Monitors outlet(s) operations on a shift basis and reports issues to F & B management
Performs a server, bartender or host/hostess role in a lead capacity
Completes shift reports at the end of each shift
Assists with month end inventories
Works on special initiatives as delegated by F & B management
Deals directly with guests with regards to feedback opportunities and provide menu feedback to Culinary team
Assists with Performance Reviews as necessary
Liaises and communicates effectively with all appropriate operational departments
Develops and cultivates strong working relationships with all stakeholders (guests, ownership and employees)
Ensures compliance with licensing laws, health and safety and other statutory regulations
Performs other duties as assigned or directed

Successful candidates will demonstrate the following qualifications:

Minimum 1 year food and beverage experience with Supervisory experience being an asset
Computer literacy in MS Office
Experience in POS system
Exceptional interpersonal and communications skills
Ability to handle multiple tasks at one time
The ability to successfully pass a criminal record and credit check through Independent Gambling Control Office (if required)
Serving It Right Certification or the ability to achieve a Serving It Right Certification
Ability to exceed internal and external customer expectations through timely, effective and service oriented communication
A commitment to continually increase your knowledge of our products and services in order to offer exceptional experiences to our guests
A willingness to learn, develop and achieve new skills for personal and professional development
A passion for providing Great Experiences and Memories to our internal and external guests in the continual quest of achieving service excellence
