Full job description

We are seeking a skilled Maintenance Manager to oversee daily maintenance operations at our client's manufacturing facility close to Winnipeg, MB.

Shift - Day

Pay - Up to $100K

Job Responsibilities:

Promote a safe work environment and ensure employees follow company safety standards.
Provide the necessary resources and support to meet safety and operational goals.
Track, review, and improve safety performance across the facility.
Communicate health and safety requirements to employees, contractors, and visitors.
Develop and implement plans to improve facility operations and performance.
Monitor daily operations and ensure processes are running effectively.
Manage company equipment, assets, and resources efficiently.
Support employee development, training, and succession planning.
Coach and mentor team members to help achieve business goals.
Develop clear work procedures and improve team skills and problem-solving abilities.
Apply Lean manufacturing principles and production best practices.
Monitor team performance and maintain accurate records.
Work with other departments and leaders to identify problems, determine root causes, and implement solutions.
Support and manage approved capital improvement projects.
Manage inventory and ensure plant equipment is properly maintained.

Knowledge, Skills & Abilities

Strong planning, organization, and time-management skills.
Good decision-making and problem-solving skills with a focus on continuous improvement.
Mechanical aptitude and experience working in a plant or manufacturing environment.
Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced and high-pressure environment.
Knowledge of workplace safety programs and Lean manufacturing practices.
Strong communication, writing, and presentation skills.
Ability to train, coach, and mentor team members.

Education & Experience

Millwright certification is an asset.
First Aid, Hazard Identification, and WHMIS certifications are preferred.
Previous plant or manufacturing experience with supervisory responsibilities.
Good working knowledge of Microsoft Office and quality control systems.
