When insurance is purchased from SBC Insurance, the profits will stay local, providing revenue to Sport BC and furthering the programs and charitable organizations associated with amateur sport in British Columbia. SBC Insurance is a service-based brokerage recognized for their excellent customer service and dedication to their clients.

Position Overview

We are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Assistant Manager to lead, support daily operations, provide exceptional service to our unique and niche clientele. This role is ideal for someone with a strong background in insurance, leadership potential, and a passion for the sport sector.

Key Responsibilities

Assist in managing day-to-day operations of the insurance team
Support client relationship management, including responding to inquiries and resolving issues
Oversee policy administration, renewals, endorsements, and documentation accuracy
Help develop and implement process improvements to increase efficiency
Provide guidance and mentorship to junior team members
Collaborate with senior management on strategic initiatives
Ensure compliance with industry regulations and internal policies

Qualifications

2–5 years of experience in the insurance industry (commercial or specialty insurance preferred)
Level 2 Insurance License
Previous supervisory or leadership experience is an asset
Strong understanding of insurance products, underwriting, and client service
Excellent communication and organizational skills
Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment
Proficiency in Microsoft Office and insurance management systems
Relevant certifications (e.g., CIP, CAIB) are considered an asset
