Full job description

For over 50 years, Fricia Construction has delivered commercial, industrial, institutional, and landscape projects across BC. With decades of trusted experience passed down through the company, we bring integrity, craftsmanship, and a collaborative approach to every build. To continue to support our team, we are seeking a talented and driven Office Administrator- Project Administrator. This is a multifaceted position that touches on accounting, administrative support, payroll, and project support.

Responsibilities

Manage and oversee daily office operations
Maintain office supplies and equipment inventory
Coordinate and schedule appointments and meetings
Prepare and distribute correspondence, memos, and reports
Responsible for bookkeeping tasks such as accounts payable, accounts receivable, and account reconciliation
Utilize accounting software (Sage) to manage financial records
Process payroll and ensure accurate and timely payment to employees
Perform bank reconciliations and monitor cash flow
Submit Government GST, Payroll, T4, Corporate Taxes remittances
Process employee timecards and records of employment
Process Contractor and Subcontractor lien holdbacks and progress claims (will provide training)
Process WorkSafe BC remittances
Maintain confidentiality of sensitive information

Qualifications

At least 2 to 5 years’ experience with office and/or project administration as well as accounting functions within the construction or similar industry
Proficiency with Sage for financial management
Adept at creating and maintaining MS Excel spreadsheets and formulas
Able to create, maintain, and edit writable PDF documents (currently using Bluebeam)
Strong knowledge of accounts payable, accounts receivable, and account reconciliation processes
Trustworthy and self-directed
Excellent organizational and time management skills
Attention to detail and accuracy in data entry, record keeping and digital file management
Ability to handle multiple tasks and prioritize workload effectively
Strong communication skills, both written and verbal
