Full job description

Overview:

Load Warrior Logistics Ltd, a rapidly growing Same-Day general freight carrier, is seeking a skilled and dynamic Dispatcher to join our team in Chilliwack, BC. We operate across the Lower Mainland and Okanagan regions with a fleet of over 40 trucks, specializing in courier, palletized, and flat deck freight across vehicles of all size. If you have a knack for efficient routing and thrive in a fast-paced environment, we encourage you to apply!

Responsibilities:

Oversee the dispatching of 15-20 trucks with predominantly skidded freight.
Coordinate and route same-day general freight deliveries efficiently.
Manage driver schedules, ensuring timely and safe delivery of goods.
Communicate in real-time with drivers and customers to resolve issues and ensure deadlines are met.
Utilize dispatch software to track and manage logistics and Microsoft 365 suite of programs, namely Outlook and Excel for analysis and communication.
Handle and mitigate service failures, providing solutions on the fly.
Maintain accurate records of dispatch activities and ensure compliance with company policies.

Experience and Qualifications:

Preferred: Previous dispatching experience.
Strong Asset: Experience with shipping and receiving.
Required: Fundamental understanding of the layout of the Lower Mainland and volumetric spatial awareness.
Skills:
Excellent multitasking and problem-solving abilities.
Proficiency in real-time communication with drivers and customers.
Previous experience with any dispatch software is an asset.
