Slabtown Ciderhouse & Eatery is hiring!

We are currently hiring experienced grill cooks with a minimum of 5 year's experience. Must be available on weekdays, weekends and evenings.

At Slabtown Ciderhouse and Eatery, we are passionate about serving fresh, locally sourced ingredients that celebrate the seasons. Our farm-to-table philosophy emphasizes quality, sustainability, and exceptional flavor. We are seeking a skilled Grill Cook who shares our commitment to crafting memorable meals using the finest local produce, meats, and artisanal ingredients. The ideal candidate is passionate about preparing high-quality farm to table food, thrives in a fast-paced environment, and is committed to maintaining excellent food safety and cleanliness standards.

Responsibilities

Prepare and cook menu items on the grill according to recipes and quality standards.
Ensure food is cooked safely and presented consistently.
Set up and stock grill station before each shift.
Monitor food quality, freshness, and portion control.
Maintain a clean and organized work area.
Follow all food safety, sanitation, and health regulations.
Work efficiently with the kitchen team during busy service periods.
Assist with food preparation, inventory, and closing duties as required.

Qualifications

Previous experience as a grill cook or line cook is preferred.
Knowledge of food safety and proper food handling practices.
Ability to work in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail.
Strong teamwork and communication skills.
Ability to stand for extended periods and lift up to 25 kg (55 lbs).
Flexible availability, including evenings, weekends, and holidays.

Job Types: Full-time, Part-time, Seasonal

Pay: $22.00-$26.00 per hour

Ability to commute/relocate:

Uxbridge, ON: reliably commute or plan to relocate before starting work (required)

Experience:

cooking: 2 years (preferred)

Licence/Certification:

Food Safe, SafeCheck, Food Handler or equivalent (preferred)

Work Location: In person
