Who are we searching for?

We are seeking a skilled and experienced Marine Mechanic to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for diagnosing, repairing, and maintaining a variety of marine engines, systems, and components to ensure optimal performance and safety. This role requires a deep understanding of marine propulsion systems, strong technical skills, and a commitment to quality workmanship.

Key Responsibilities:

Inspect, diagnose, and repair marine engines (inboard and outboard), electrical systems, and other mechanical components.
Perform routine maintenance tasks, including oil changes, filter replacements, and system checks.
Troubleshoot and repair issues with marine propulsion systems, steering, fuel systems, and hydraulics.
Install and configure marine electronics, including GPS, radar, and communication systems.
Maintain accurate records of work performed, including parts used and labour hours.
Provide excellent customer service by communicating effectively with boat owners and operators about repairs and maintenance.
Stay up-to-date with industry advancements, new technologies, and best practices in marine mechanics.
Adhere to all safety regulations and standards while performing tasks.

Qualifications:

High school diploma or equivalent; technical or vocational training in marine mechanics is preferred.
Minimum of 3 years of experience as a Marine Mechanic or in a related field.
Strong knowledge of marine engines, propulsion systems, electrical systems, and electronics.
Proficiency in using diagnostic tools and equipment.
Ability to read and interpret technical manuals, schematics, and diagrams.
Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
Excellent communication and customer service skills.
Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
Valid driver’s license; boat handling experience is a plus.
Physical ability to lift heavy objects, work in confined spaces, and perform tasks that require manual dexterity.
